EDINBURGH

Colin has grown up living in the City Centre of Edinburgh since the age of nine. His "Evolution of Edinburgh Tour takes you on a journey through the history of Edinburgh and includes all the major landmarks in the Royal Mile. When not touring people round the City he also works in a Health and Fitness Club as Sales and Marketing Manager, and away from work takes a keen interest in soccer, golf and socialising with friends, so as well as being able to give you an insight into the history of Edinburgh he'll also be able to recommend the best bars and restaurants and places to go, particularly during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His blog on the Fringe provides a great insight into how to survive in the city during August, how to pick the best shows, how to get cheap/free tickets and what else to see in Edinburgh while you're here. He also posts reviews of all the shows that he sees, so if you've enjoyed his sense of humour during your tour, you'll probably like the same comedians as him too!

Dougie has lived in Edinburgh all his life and with a decade of experience in the tourism and Whisky industries he has spent most of his time learning about the past and developed a passion for modern Edinburgh and its people. He has an observational side for the good side of the city as well as some of its darker elements; his satirical style handles each side of the city with equal good humour.

Elspeth first moved to Edinburgh as a fresh-faced undergraduate in 2001. The city’s magnetic quality, beauty, and style immediately had their effect and, consequently, two degrees and eight years later, she’s still here!  She currently works for a city centre charity, an educational travel company, and, of course, Love4Adventure.  In her spare time she feeds her love of all things theatre related and has been fortunate enough to perform in the internationally acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe Festival several times.  She also loves to travel and has explored as far a field as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, North America and South Africa.  The UK is most definitely her home however, and whilst she has had the privilege of tour guiding across the UK and Ireland in rich and diverse gems such as London, Oxford, Bath, Dublin, and Stratford,….Edinburgh is by far her favourite spot!  She looks forward to sharing what she knows with you in the most entertaining, innovative, and engaging manner she can muster!

LONDON

Dave was in the Royal Air Force for five years. Since then he has done a wide variety of work: on a farm and a building site, as a fork lift driver, a reach truck operator, a high racker operator, a mono rail operator, and a crane operator and also on market research (phone and door to door), in a call centre, door to door fundraising and canvassing for an organics food company and a window cleaning company. He has also worked as a stock controller and done progress chasing and security among other things as well as having had a business in Thailand and having travelled to over twenty countries. He has hitchhiked over most of Western Europe and has worked as a tour guide on the open top buses in London; giving the tourists live commentary while they were doing the grand tour of London's main tourist attractions as well as as a professional tour guide for private tours and school groups.

NEW ORLEANS

Tom originally hails from the northeast but has spent over a decade in his adopted home in New Orleans.  He knows the city inside and out and has collected an inexhaustable supply of historical facts, myths, anecdotes and cultural insights to this city which is referred to as the Crescent City, the City That Care Forgot and the Northern-most Caribbean City, among other colorful nicknames.

Brad is originally from Spring Lake, Michigan but after studying at Tulane University he now calls New Orleans his home.  His years of study, dedicated to Classical Studies and History, and his private explorations of the Big Easy give him a particular insight into this fasciating and colorful city.

NIAGARA FALLS

Helene loves doing things outdoors and playing tourist in her own city.  She enjoys showing people Niagara falls the way only a local can! As as we enjoy 2009, she is excited and looking forward to sharing a lot of wonderful memories as she takes lucky visitors coming to Niagara Falls Canada to see what all the hype is about! Oh, and there is plenty to be hyped about! Many have no idea that Niagara Falls has many smaller cities within our city that also have so much to offer a traveller seeking adventure and fun, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Aside from Niagara Falls having history that goes back to approx.1650, it also has entertainment, two casinos, fine & casual dining, nightlife and nightclubs, and things to do for all ages from children to seniors. Including Marineland, waterparks, wine country, and beautiful golf courses to name a few... If you have never been to Niagara Falls before, or if you just want to come back and see it from the eyes of a local because you never knew we had half the things you see in pictures, then come along for an adventure with Helene.

Jake loves travelling both near and far. He delights in nothing more than packing up some or all of his 4 children off on their bikes to explore their neighbourhood or whatever destination they happen to have travelled to. On business trips nothing makes his day more than a free hour or two just to wander the city, town or countryside around his hotel. Curiosity, local knowledge, humour and an ease with people from diverse backgrounds are what Jake brings to all his tours. Make sure to make a Love4adventure tour with Jake part of your Niagara getaway this year.

TORONTO

Alanna loves music, books, movies, sports, festivals, dancing, and riding her bike around Toronto.  She's the consummate novelty-seeker and travel has been her passion for years, as she's zipped around Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and Western Canada. But now she's decided to settle for a while in her hometown of Toronto and even though she's lived in and around this city for most of her life, she's discovering new things about it every day. As a communications major, she loves to talk with people and share with them what she knows and she's looking forward to an amazing summer of walking through the city, soaking up the sunshine and exploring the hidden nooks and crannies that make Toronto one of the loveliest and most underrated cities in the world!

Andrew is well versed in the thriving sub cultures of the Toronto scene and can't wait to show you around the more eclectic side of the city in the Cultural Toronto Experience.  His work in radio and publications as well as his experience in writing, directing and acting are key elements to his entertaining personality.

Kanza has a passion for travel and a talent for storytelling which will captivate you as she shows you around some of Toronto's famous landmarks.

Rose is an Architecture student at Ryerson University.  She is a sociable, hard working and active young woman who loves the fast-paced environment of city life in Toronto.  She has many favorite spots in the city and can't wait to show you around the St Lawrence Market area.

VANCOUVER

Brian is an architecture enthusiast and longtime history buff who has spent years working with some of the top names in Finance in canada and around the world.  He would love to share his passion for Vancouver by showing you around on the Downtown Vancouver Experience.  His seemingly limitless knowledge on the history of the area and his easy camaraderie will suck you back in time to show you how the city has evolved through the years since it's inception.

Chris has claimed Vancouver as her home base for 30+ years while she globe-trots and scribes for a living, including guide books on Vancouver and British Columbia for Fodors, Frommers and other biggies. Consequently, her tours are peppered with anecdotal, true and questionable stories about what makes this city tick including tips for good eats, shopping finds and off-the-beaten track attractions. Anyone game to bare all at Wreck Beach?

Jenna has travelled all over Canada, the U.S., Mexico, the Carribean, England, Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Monaco, Italy, Spain, and Greece and now wants to share her enthusiasm for what can be found right outside her doorstep, in beautiful British Columbia.
